Polka-dot Mountain Top 16X12
This piece was almost entirely experimental.  It's done with fountain pen inks and white india ink on wood.  I was pleasantly surprised to discover that one of the blue inks, when mixed with another precipitated copper and created a really interesting metallic effect.  And, when the white was painted over it, it would reveal the colors underneath the copper.  I love how this piece turned out.
Boulder Creek 10X12

 Lichen 13X10
These two pieces were an experiment with layering with acrylic paint and gel medium on gessoed wood. I wanted to achieve really interesting texture and color combinations as well as depth. I like how "Boulder Creek" became quite abstract and I love how the texture turned out.

Starcrossed 18''X24''
I did this piece in my mixed media painting class at SCAD summer seminars.  It is water color and acrylic on water color paper and india ink and gold leaf on canvas and collage.

Newbury Neck 10''X18''
This is a slightly abstracted depiction of Maine on a foggy day done in water color and india ink on water color paper.  I wanted to use vibrant yet muted colors to show how beautiful Maine is.
Marvin's Monday Grooves 5''X7''
I wanted to experiment with the comic format.  I decided to do something silly, random, and brightly colored.  "Marvin's Monday Grooves" is supposed to be fun and happy.

Abstract 1 5''X5'' 5''X5'' & 4''X4''
This was my experiment with abstract for the summer.  I achieved this look with acrylic and salt on canvas.  I like how the blue and yellow interact with each other.
Goldfish 3''X5''
I turned to watercolor after doing a lot of black and white work.  I wanted to do something bright and colorful!
